2 teens, a 15-year-old boy, and a 15-year-old girl have been arrested after a Mall Security Guard Was Shot at an Atlanta mall, and badly injured Sunday night.
According to Atlanta Police, the security officer was shot in the torso at the Lenox Square Mall at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
At a press conference, Atlanta police Deputy Chief Tim Peek said the suspects reportedly approached the security guard at guns, but further specifics of the confrontation were not immediately available.
According to Peek, the victim, who has only been described as a male in his early 40s, was in serious condition Sunday night.
According to authorities, no additional injuries have been recorded.
Officers were given a description of the suspects by witnesses in the mall. After canvassing the neighborhood, cops discovered the two adolescents outside a neighboring Westin, according to authorities.
The teenagers were detained and charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, possession of a handgun by a person under the age of 18, and possession of a handgun during the commission of a felony, according to police.
