ARLINGTON, Texas — Police in Texas reported Saturday that NFL linebacker Barkevious Mingo, who is present with the Atlanta Falcons, was arrested on a charge of indecency with a child sexual contact.
Arlington Police said in a statement that they couldn’t say much more about the investigation because of “the nature of the accusations and the victim’s age.”
After posting a $25,000 bail, Mingo was freed.
On Saturday, his attorney did not respond to an email requesting a comment.
“After being made aware today of accusations concerning Barkevious Mingo and reviewing information on the matter,” the Falcons terminated Mingo’s contract on Saturday night.
