Following the loss of his wife and son’s mother, Kelly Preston, John Travolta has opened out about an honest talk he had with his 10-year-old son, Benjamin.
“He said to me once, ‘Because mum died away, I’m worried you’re going to,'” the 67-year-old “Grease” star revealed on Kevin Hart’s chat program “Heart to Heart.” “‘Well, it’s a totally different thing,’ I responded. And I thought about the disparities between my long life and her short existence.”
“Your brother departed at 16 — too early,” Travolta said, referring to his other son with Preston, Jett, who died in January 2009 after having a seizure. Your mother departed at the age of 57, which was much too soon. But who are we to say?”
Ella, Travolta’s 21-year-old daughter, is Travolta’s other child with Preston.
