Kelly Preston’s Death Was Brought Up In Chat between John Travolta And His Son

Following the loss of his wife and son’s mother, Kelly Preston, John Travolta has opened out about an honest talk he had with his 10-year-old son, Benjamin.

Benjamin was concerned that he could lose his father after Preston died of breast cancer in July 2020.

“He said to me once, ‘Because mum died away, I’m worried you’re going to,'” the 67-year-old “Grease” star revealed on Kevin Hart’s chat program “Heart to Heart.” “‘Well, it’s a totally different thing,’ I responded. And I thought about the disparities between my long life and her short existence.”

“Ben, you always adore the truth, and I’m going to give you the truth about life,” the two-time Oscar nominee claimed he told Benjamin. Nobody knows when they’ll go or when they’ll come back.”

“Your brother departed at 16 — too early,” Travolta said, referring to his other son with Preston, Jett, who died in January 2009 after having a seizure. Your mother departed at the age of 57, which was much too soon. But who are we to say?”

“I may pass away tomorrow.” It’s possible. Of what he told Benjamin, he remarked, “I mean, anyone can.” “So, let’s take a look at life… it’s a part of it, see?” You have no idea what you’re talking about. You simply do your best to live as long as possible.”

Ella, Travolta’s 21-year-old daughter, is Travolta’s other child with Preston.
