JACKSON, Miss. — According to officials, an FBI special agent was shot and wounded in Jackson, Mississippi, but is expected to recover.
According to Jackson police spokesperson Sam Brown, an agent from the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Jackson field office was wounded Saturday night. More details regarding the incident will be provided later, according to Brown.
According to FBI spokesperson Brett Carr, the agent’s condition is not “life-threatening” and he has been released from the hospital.
On Sunday, there was little further information provided.
