Emily Blunt Opens More About the Supper That Cemented Her Relationship with John Krasinski

If it’s true that the route to a man’s heart is through his stomach, Emily Blunt has the perfect recipe for you.

The “Jungle Cruise” star, who has been married to actor John Krasinski since 2010, revealed the dinner she cooked for him that made him fall in love with her.

“I think I simply designed something I knew he’d like,” Blunt said on the podcast “River Cafe Table 4”

“Who doesn’t like a delicious roast chicken? Ina Garten’s roast chicken is my favorite,” says the “Devil Wears Prada” star “star kept going. “It’s nicknamed her ‘Engagement Chicken,’ because I assume people feel engaged or whatever when they cook it for other people.”

It appeared to work for Blunt, at least. She and the “Office” actor have been married for almost a decade, have co-starred in two “A Quiet Place” films, and have two kids, Hazel, 7, and Violet, 5.

So, what exactly is the recipe?

“Lemon, garlic, onions, thyme, salt and pepper, everything,” she explained. “The onions are strewn about the chicken, yet they are packed tightly within the tray. After that, you roast them at a high temperature for approximately an hour and 20 minutes, and they’re done and wonderful.”

“You kind of saut√© in some wine and some butter into that oniony, garlicy combination after you pull the birds out,” she explained. “It’s amazing, oh my God. It’s quite sticky and delicious.”
