2 US Military Members Were Injured In A Rocket Strike On The Al-Asad Air Base

2 US military members were injured in a rocket strike on al-Asad Air Base in western Iraq earlier Wednesday, according to a Pentagon spokeswoman.

Earlier in the day, a US military official in Baghdad confirmed that 14 rockets were fired at the facility, with several landing inside the perimeter.

Separately, a defense official stated that one of the military men had a concussion and the other sustained an abrasion.

This comes as White House sources stated the US carried out an airstrike near the Iraq-Syria border to target Iran-backed militants and two sites responsible for drone strikes on US forces in Iraq.
